How to Withdraw Money from Binance in Vietnam (2026)

Binance has no direct VND bank withdrawal — the standard route is selling USDT on the P2P market. The full process, the safety rules that protect sellers, and what to do when something goes wrong.

How to Withdraw Money from Binance in Vietnam (2026)

Binance does not wire VND to your bank the way a broker does. The standard route in Vietnam is to sell USDT on the P2P market and receive VND by bank transfer — the reverse of buying USDT with VND. Done correctly it takes 5–15 minutes and costs zero fees. Here is the full process, including the safety rules that matter more when you are the seller.

The flow at a glance

Coins you hold (BTC, ETH…) → convert to USDT → sell USDT on P2P → VND arrives in your bank

If you already hold USDT, you only need the P2P step.

Step 1: Convert to USDT (if needed)

  1. Sell your coins into USDT on the Spot market (e.g. the BTC/USDT pair), or use Convert for small amounts — no order book needed.
  2. Transfer the USDT to your Funding wallet (P2P sells only draw from Funding). The internal transfer is free and instant.

Step 2: Sell USDT on P2P

  1. Open P2P → Sell, pair USDT/VND.
  2. Pick a buyer using the same filters as when buying: completion rate ≥ 97%, high 30-day volume, verified merchant badge preferred.
  3. Enter the amount, confirm the bank account that will receive the money — it must be in your own name, matching your KYC identity.
  4. Place the order. Your USDT is locked in escrow while the buyer transfers VND.
  5. Open your banking app and check the actual balance. Only when the correct amount has landed do you tap Payment received — escrow then releases the USDT to the buyer.

Seller safety rules — read these twice

Sellers are the more targeted side of P2P. The rules:

  1. Trust only your bank app balance. Not a screenshot of a transfer slip (easily faked), not an SMS (sender IDs can be spoofed), not a buyer urging "I've paid, please release."
  2. The money must come from an account matching the buyer's verified name. A "my friend will pay for me" transfer is a red flag for money laundering — refuse and open an appeal.
  3. Never release outside the order. Anyone proposing a better rate off-platform is removing the escrow that protects you.
  4. If a buyer places an order and never pays, do nothing — the order expires automatically and your USDT unlocks. You lose nothing.

Time, cost and limits

Item Reality
P2P selling fee 0 ₫ (the cost sits in the ~0.3–1% price spread)
Time to receive VND 5–15 minutes with a responsive buyer
Banks supported Practically all major ones: Vietcombank, Techcombank, MB, BIDV, ACB…
Large amounts Split into several 20–50M ₫ orders across different merchants

Troubleshooting

  • Buyer marked "paid" but nothing arrived: wait a few minutes (interbank transfers can lag), then file an appeal with your bank statement. Do not confirm receipt.
  • Wrong amount received: appeal inside the order; never negotiate a private fix before releasing.
  • Payment from a third-party name: appeal, request a refund, do not release.

FAQ

Can I withdraw USDT to an external wallet instead? Yes — that is an on-chain withdrawal with a network fee, useful if you want to cash out elsewhere or self-custody. Choose the network carefully; sending on the wrong chain can lose the funds permanently.

Is it the same on OKX? The escrow mechanics are identical; OKX's VND merchant pool is thinner, so large orders may match slower — see Binance vs OKX in Vietnam.

Do I owe tax when cashing out? Vietnam's 2026 framework recognizes crypto as legal assets and the tax rules are still being detailed — keep your order history and bank statements. Background: Is crypto legal in Vietnam?
